The Walt Disney Company has announced that Jonathan S. Headley has been named Senior Vice President and Treasurer. Headley had previously served as the Assistant Treasurer of the company and succeed Christine McMcarthy who was named CFO earlier this summer.
Headley will be responsible for the management and oversight of Disney's global treasurer functions including corporate finance, capital markets, banking activities, global cash management, and more. He had served as Assistant Treasurer for 11 years.
In his previous role as Assistant Treasurer he managed corporate finance, treasury control and compliance, and asset management among other duties. Headley joined the corporate finance team in 1996 and has also served as Treasurer of Hong Kong Disneyland during the park's development.
Before joining Disney, Headley was an analyst with Goldman Sachs & Co and a research associate at Harvard. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Williams College.
