Lemon Madelines From La Petite Cafe at Disney's Riviera Resort

If you're at Disney's Riviera Resort and want a delicious treat that's not too sweet, stop in to La Petite Cafe in the Resort Lobby and order a basket of Lemon Madelines. This quick service cafe offers fresh coffee and pastries with a European flair each and every morning. It's a great spot to grab some java on your way to the Parks.

There's always a wide assortment of coffee selections and five or six pastry treats to choose from at La Petite Cafe. On a recent trip I grabbed a little basket of Lemon Madelines. Seating in the small shop is limited and can be taken up quickly when it gets busy, so I headed back up to the villa with my golden nuggets of treasure.

These Madelines are super tiny, but never fear because they fit about a dozen of the powdered sugar dusted treats in a cute wooden basket. It makes this a fantastic choice for sharing.

The delicate little butter cakes have a light lemon flavor and a soft dusting of powered sugar. While I'm not going to get into the debate of if this is a cake or a cookie... what I can tell you is that they are delicious.
