It's the little things that bring the Magic Kingdom to life, and Disney's penchant for adding streetmosphere performances has a way taking the great big magical theme and bringing down to a personal level. In Fantasyland, Guests are entertained with several daily shows by the festive and jovial Royal Majesty Makers.
The Royal Majesty Makers are led by Sir Sterling and his partner, royal etiquette expert Lady Llewellyn. The noble pair offer "lessons" to the Guests of the Kingdom in horse riding, dragon slaying, and dancing, in order to make sure that everyone is prepared for the Royal Ball. As the official Ambassadors for Cinderella's Court you can often find Sir Sterling accompanied by his squire extraordinaire Tobias, or with the saucy lady-in-waiting Bridget as well as their own band of pipes and drums. There's a merry time for all to be had when this comic troupe appears
If you catch them at the right time, you may even get to try your hand at pulling the sword from the stone to become the "Hero of Fantasyland!" Take a look at the video below, shot by our friend John over at BigFatPanda.com.
The Royal Majesty Makers can be found in the Fantasyland Castle Courtyard, with shows lasting about 25 minutes a piece. Check the Times Guide or your MyDisneyExperience App to see when they'll be appearing during your visit.
I loved the old show of my youth featuring Merlin and the classic Sword and the Stone Story - but that crazy old wizard has been retired since 2006 and I'm thrilled that they have continued the tradition in some form.
