More Details Revealed for Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

In a little more than three weeks, the long-awaited Pandora - The World of Avatar will open at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This new land is the largest addition to the Animal Kingdom and will immerse guests in an alien landscape full of floating mountains, bioluminescent forests, and more.

The Na'vi River Journey attraction at Pandora - The World of Avatar

When guests enter Pandora, they're entering the world first seen in James Cameron's Oscar-winning film Avatar, but the human conflict depicted in the film has ended. According to Disney, the new land "carries on the park's tradition of celebrating the intrinsic value of nature, transformation through adventure and a personal call to action."

To get to Pandora guests will cross Discovery River and continue along a rainforest path to reach Pandora. Guests should feel as if they've been transported "light-years away" to the Alpha Centauri solar system.

Pandora is home to two new attractions: Avatar Flight of Passage and the family-friendly Na'vi River Journey. On Flight of Passage guests will fly on a winged banshee through Pandora, feeling the banshee beneath them as they fly.

The Na'vi River Journey takes guests on a boat ride down a sacred river into the bioluminescent forest. Guests will encounter the Na'vi Shaman of Songs. Check out this video!

In Pandora guests can dine at the Satu'li Canteen or grab a cool drink at Pongu Pongu. The Satu'li Canteen is a fast-casual restaurant serving meals inspired by the "healthful bounty" of Pandora. The menu at Pongu Pongu features a bioluminescent frozen drink and more!

Pandora - The World of Avatar opens May 27 at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
