For all of you Disney movie buffs out there, here's some more movie buzz - this time about "The Lone Ranger" and the "Tron" sequel.
First off, word has it that "The Lone Ranger" now has a release date. Just in time for 2012's holiday rush, expect to see the adventures of the Ranger and Tonto rolling into theaters December 21, 2012. Armie Hammer ("The Social Network") and Johnny Depp are set to star along with Gore Verbinski ("Pirates of the Caribbean") taking the director's helm. Production should begin sometime later this year.
Next, it looks like Disney has hired David DiGilio to write the sequel to "Tron: Legacy." A sequel might seem a bit of a surprise since the movie didn't exaclty make a splash initially at the box office. It has, however, gone on to earn upwards of $400 million worldwide.
Stay tuned here for more movie buzz; we'll keep you updated as the news trickles in.
