New Africa Marketplace Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2015

The expansion at Disney's Animal Kingdom continues with the recent announcement of an all-new Africa Marketplace coming in the spring of 2015. The Africa Marketplace is planned as a new dining and shopping experience for guests.

Part of the area will be the Harambe Marketplace which will feature a new quick-service dining location serving street-inspired foods and beverages from walk-up windows.

The Marketplace will also be home to additional shaded seating areas and will include a new pathway from Africa to Bradley Falls in the Asia section of the Animal Kingdom.

The new Africa Marketplace, in addition to the recently opened Harambe Theater (home of The Festival of The Lion King), will double the size of the original Harambe Village area.

This expansion of areas in Disney's Animal Kingdom coincides with the on-going construction of the new Avatarland area in the park.
