New Attraction, Miss Fortune Falls, Coming to Typhoon Lagoon in 2017
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will be home to a brand new attraction, Miss Fortune Falls, in the spring of 2017. The new ride clocks in at two minutes long, making it one of the lengthiest attractions at the Disney Water Parks.
Miss Fortune Falls opens next spring at Typhoon Lagoon
Miss Fortune Falls is a family-style raft attraction that will take guests on a journey through Captain Mary Oceanear's past.
The story goes like this: Captain Oceanear was a treasure-hunting heroine who traveled across the sea collecting artifacts before she was stranded at Typhoon Lagoon by a rogue storm.
Guests will ascend to the top of the attraction before plunging into a "white-water adventure" where they'll spot some of the Captain's treasures.

I'm excited that this new ride is going in, but I'm really going to miss the Shark Reef.
