Most guests headed down to Walt Disney World for Thanksgiving this week have had their dining reservations well in hand for some time now. However - if you are still wondering where you'll be able to get a taste of turkey over the holiday, we've got the answers you are looking for. From legs with a fan following to Thanksgiving leftovers on a bun, the restaurants of Walt Disney World are serving up some festive favorites.
Jumbo Turkey Leg at the Fife & Drum Tavern in the American Pavilion at Epcot
Love them or hate them, this controversial dish has had its own fan following since the 1980s, and eating one has almost become a Disney fan right of passage. These oversized legs will have you feasting like a King on the salty, juicy meat that almost tastes more like ham from the smoking process if goes through.
If you won't be in Epcot on Thanksgiving, you can also find a great Turkey Leg at Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom, and specially spiced by House of Blues at The Smokehouse in Disney Springs.
Holiday Turkey Sandwich from the Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs
If you prefer your turkey carved off the bone and accompanied with all the fixings; the Earl of Sandwich has an amazing holiday special of turkey, cornbread stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce & mayonnaise served on fresh baked bread.
For those that are looking to indulge in this great American bird in a bit lighter manner, the Earl also serves up a delicious wrap of turkey, cheddar, romaine, Roma tomato & light mayonnaise.
Holiday Turkey& Stuffing Panini from Starbucks in all four Disney Parks and at Disney Springs
The next holiday sandwich is a Starbucks tradition that can be found from coast to cost, but when you're looking for a quick holiday meal it just may assuage your craving. Sliced turkey breast piled on focaccia bread, topped with cranberry-herb stuffing, savory herbs and turkey gravy. Then they pop it all in the oven and serve it up hot.
One more possibility is worth mentioning, for a limited time in 2016 the Daily Poutine offered a fun little Holiday meal in a cup. I'm not sure if it is being served this year, but it's totally worth stopping by to see. The Holiday Turkey Poutine had Turkey, Gravy, French Fries, and Cheddar Curds topped with Cranberry Relish. If you happen to find it, be sure to let us know!
Thanks so much to our friends over at the Disney Food Blog for exclusive use of their images. Happy Thanksgiving, and safe travels to all.
