Sanaa Lounge at Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village

Tucked in the rock work on the ground floor of Animal Kingdom Lodge's Kidani Village Lobby sits the creative and magical Disney restaurant Sanaa. As you enter the restaurant, just past the check in desk to the left sits the small, cozy Sanaa Lounge. The lounge has dim lighting, a wall of banquette seating with low round tables, and high chairs along the bar. This intimate, out of the way space is often empty, but gets an honorable mention on the Disney Food Blog 's Top 10 Disney World Bars and Lounges list for it's inspired menu.

Sanaa Lounge offers all the standard Disney cocktails and then Some. The menu has been enhanced by South African wines, flavorful African beers, and fun inspired cocktails. You can try the Malawi Mango Margarita, or even a Painted Lemur! The Painted Lemur is a blend of African fruit liqueurs combined in a chocolate striped glass to pay homage to the Lemur's striped tail. These fun, fruity concoctions really help to cut the spiciness that comes in the appetizer selections.

Sanaa's bar menu is a shining star of appetizers that can be ordered in the lounge. The Indian-style bread service is fantastic and is my favorite nosh at the Sanaa lounge. You get a choice of three exotic breads and inspirational spreads. The combinations will please everyone from the most timid eater to those looking for the fiery flavors of India.

I very much enjoyed stopping in at the Sanaa Lounge to have a drink before dinner. It will be a must do next time we're staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village. Have you stopped in for a drink at Sanaa? Leave a comment below and let me know what you think about this intimate gem.

Saana overtook Jiko as my favourite restaurant. I just love the cosy and dark atmosphere, and the food...oh my gosh the food! We would have stayed there all night if I could have afforded more wine!

I've heard reports that the bar is usually closed by 9pm. Is this true?
