In just a few weeks guests can take a flight around the world on Soarin' Around the World at Epcot's The Land pavilion. Right now though, fans have one more chance to enjoy the "classic" version of Soarin' before it is gone forever on June 16.
Then, on June 17, Soarin' Around the World debuts. In this new version guests will soar above The Great Wall of China, the Great Pyramids, and through the Eiffel Tower. The attraction opens in Epcot one day after its world premiere at Shanghai Disneyland. (The attraction in Shanghai is called Soaring Over the Horizon.)
Soarin' Around the World "immerses guests in a mulit-sensory experience, complete with stunning sights, spectacular sounds, and even subtle scents" according to Disney.
Like the original Soarin' guests on Soarin' Around the World will be lifted 40 feet and find themselves in front of an 80-foot projection screen dome.
The musical score for Soarin' Around the World was composed by Bruce Broughton and is based on the original Soarin' score that was composed by the late Jerry Goldsmith.
