Spend Some Time At The LEGO Imagination Center in Downtown Disney

LEGO, a word that is just as iconic with children as Disney. Everyone I know had LEGO's; I had them, my best friends had them, I would even bet that my roommates had them. So as LEGO's continue to take over the world, how could they not find their way into the happiest place on earth.

The LEGO center is nestled in Downtown Disney's Marketplace is one of the nicest LEGO centers in the country. It's easy to find, surrounded by several truly impressive LEGO models depicting fun scenes from classic Disney movies, like Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Toy Story. One of the best and most recognizeble toy brands smack dab inside the most child friendly/family friendly places anywhere. True to form this LEGO Center is everything one could want, and if you don't believe me...well check out this video for yourself:

This is a huge list of family fun and events to highlight on of the greatest toys ever. And there is so much more to see and do. The Imagination Center is 4400 sq. ft of LEGO glory with almost 3000 sq ft dedicated to places to play and build. You can try out some of the best LEGO toys while being watched over by a 12 foot tall T-Rex made entirely of LEGO's. Yes...12 feet of green, monstrous dinosaur. And that's not all, Lego statues galore fill the center of monuments, statues, and buildings of importance from around the world. The giant Pick-a-Brick wall which house every single LEGO brick in every style and every color. And no LEGO Imagination Center would be complete without demonstration areas, showing fans and guests how Lego building is done.

So what else would you expect from LEGO? Maybe some building classes? Possibly an event to promote a new toy? There's always something going on at the LEGO Imagination Center with fun monthly events for LEGO lovers like.

LEGO Store Monthly Mini Model Build, featuring a new mini model every month. LEGO Friends Racing Play, where LEGO Friends vehicles compete on an in-store play ramp, a monthly LEGO Club Meeting. There are also building workshops, scavenger hunts through the store, DUPLO activities for the smaller kids, and always a variety of discounts to make your shopping a little easier. Check out the LEGO Store Website to find out what special events will be going on during your visit.

I've been to a few LEGO Imagination Centers over the years and personally this is one of the best. Have any of you, our readers, been to this Imagination Center? Are you LEGO fans? We would love to here about your experiences.

I'm not into the events, but this is a store with 90% of the product being LEGO sets that are wildly expensive. They do sell in bulk where you could supposedly buy 2 quart containers for $12/each, but there isn't much of a selection. If I recall you could buy a container of 1x2's and maybe there were 2x6's of the same color. No flat pieces or hinges that make creations that move.

This is such a fun store. The kits can be quite expensive, but they are when I buy them at home as well. We love stopping in here and playing for a while!
