Downtown Disney Officially Becomes Disney Springs

It's official. Downtown Disney is no more as the shopping, dining, and entertainment district is now Disney Springs. The name change became official on September 29. Construction continues at Disney Springs with more shops and restaurants planned before the project is completed in 2016.

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Now Open in Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney's newest watering hole opened this week in The Landing. Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar is where, as the story goes, Jock and the other members of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers used to meet. And if you're wondering "who is Jock Lindsey?"...he was a trusted pilot for Indiana Jones.

Morimoto Asia, the first pan-Asian restaurant from Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, is set to open on September 30 at The Landing in Downtown Disney (soon-to-be Disney Springs). Reservations will be available via Open Table on September 16.

The Great Irish Hooley Returns to Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant on Labor Day Weekend

The Fourth Annual Great Irish Hooley is planned for Labor Day Weekend at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant in Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs). This halfway to St. Patrick's Day celebration starts Friday, September 4 and runs through Monday, September 7.
