Coffee at the Walt Disney World Resort used to mean a not-so-great cup of something resembling coffee but it wasn't exactly good. It was unlikely that many folks were overheard exclaiming "Wow! What a great cup of java!" unless of course you were lucky enough to score a French Press pot of coffee at certain restaurants. But lately, a good cup of coffee has become the norm at Disney.
Gone are the days of Nescafe "coffee." Now we can sip on a Venti Skinny Caramel Macchiato as we stroll down Main Street U.S.A. We can indulge in a Pumpkin Spice Latte as we enjoy fall at the Walt Disney World Resort. And we can even enjoy just a basic cup of not-too-bad coffee from one of the many coffee kiosks around the parks.
Thanks to the inclusion of Starbucks at the Walt Disney World Resort and the addition of Joffrey's as the "official" coffee of Walt Disney World those in need of a java fix can get caffeinated all day and night with good coffee.
Let's start with the obvious coffee choice first: Starbucks. With the opening of Creature Comforts earlier this summer every theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort now has a Starbucks coffee shop. The Main Street Bakery at the Magic Kingdom was the first in-park Starbucks and it's a great spot to grab that morning cup o' joe as you enter the park.
And while we will always miss the cinnamon roll from the "old" Main Street Bakery, the fact that we can order our favorite Starbucks beverage AND stare at Cinderella Castle while enjoying our beverage ALMOST makes up for the missing cinnamon roll. Almost. Plus, the cupcakes are a good replacement.
The next in-parks Starbucks was Fountain View Cafe at Epcot. This is a good place to grab a quick breakfast and coffee before hopping on Test Track or Soarin'. We love grabbing a latte and a slice of Lemon Loaf and heading outside to people watch near the Fountain of Nations.
Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Starbucks is located in the Trolley Car Cafe and this might be our favorite in-park Starbucks just based on interior design. The building represents the Golden Age of Hollywood and the backstory is that this is where the Big Red Cars that traveled Hollywood Boulevard were housed.
Inside you'll find a very industrial feel to the building with exposed piping, light fixtures, machinery, and even a trolley car switchboard. The menu is just like the other Starbucks but you'll find some specialty cupcakes in the bakery case including the Chocolate Toffee Cupcake which is really the Butterfinger Cupcake!
At Disney's Animal Kingdom you'll find the newest in-park Starbucks location at Creature Comforts. This location is between Discovery Island and Africa so it's also a great place to grab a quick bite to eat and a coffee before heading out on Kilimanjaro Safaris.
When visiting Creature Comforts make sure you look up to spy the African warrior shields on the light fixtures. They're similar to what you'll see at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. And if you're looking for something sweet to go with your afternoon cappuccino we recommend the Cotton Top Tamarin Cupcake.
And don't forget about the Starbucks locations in Downtown Disney/Disney Springs too! You'll never be far from a Grande Vanilla Latte at Walt Disney World Resort.
Aside from Starbucks you'll also find coffee at the Joffrey's coffee carts located in the theme parks and at the Transportation and Ticket Center. The menus are simple and feature hot and cold coffees, espresso, pastries, and of course donuts. Our friends at the Disney Food Blog are fans of the oversize donuts from the Joffrey's carts.
Several of the Walt Disney World Restaurants also serve French Press Coffee including Boma and the Kona Cafe. This is quite possibly the best coffee you'll have on property.
If you're looking for tea our favorite in-park tea spot is the Royal Anandapur Tea Company in Disney's Animal Kingdom. The tea selection is great and our favorite hot day drink is the Frozen Chai.
And of course the coffee of last resort is located at your resort hotel's quick service dining location. Fill up that refillable Disney mug and get your coffee fix first thing before you head out for the day!

The coffee has gotten *so* much better! I don't have to pack my own anymore. <3

I agree with you, Kristen! Now I can have coffee any time I want instead of just early morning before heading to the parks. And I am so excited about being able to get my favorite Pumpkin Spice latte this fall! Kona at the Polynesian and Starbucks in the parks. It doesn't get any better than that for coffee lovers!

*Every* park now has Starbucks? Oh, heavens! That's fantastic news to us not-so-much-morning people and caffeine addicts.
I remember the Kona coffee from the last time we went, and it was really wonderful. Though Anandapur Tea sounds like it's worth the effort, too. I swing both ways fr my caffeine… Coffee AND tea! :D

Stayed at Wilderness DVC and coffee was poor. Now that coffee is good at parks, need to move on to resorts.

I know I'm in the minority but I actually loved the Nescafé. I love a good Starbucks Latte especially gingerbread. But their regular coffee always tastes burned to me. ☕️
