This week the powers that be at Disney officially confirmed the news reported by our friends over at Disney Food Blog last fall. A brand new World Showcase dining option is coming soon to the Kingdom of Morocco Pavilion. The "Spice Road Table" will be opening it's doors for business by the end of 2013.
Though Disney is yet to offer up many details about the exotic restaurant, the Disney Food Blog shares some exclusive information from the operator of Epcot's Morocco Pavilion restaurants. Spice Road Table will sit along the shores of the lagoon providing a breathtaking view of World Showcase and Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. 120 outdoor terrace seats and 60 indoor seats are planned for this special venue. Disney Food Blog says that the menu will consist of "tapas, small plates, olive oils and ingredients, and great wines representing specific Mediterranean countries." Described as a "Food and Wine Festival all year round," guests will be able to mix and match dishes giving them a range of flavors from around the Mediterranean.
In addition, Disney Food Blog reports on the possibility of a small walk-up window offering pastries and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a small shop offering olive oils and other signature ingredients. This stop is sure to make it culinary
