Pinocchio's Village Haus at the Magic Kingdom is one of those almost hidden gems at Walt Disney World. We all know it exists, since it does sit right next to it's a small world and is pretty much in the center of Fantasyland. But it seems like it's one of those places that we often walk past but rarely walk in to dine, even though it is consistently good when we do eat there.
The restaurant itself is gorgeous from the outside, even if the Italian-themed restaurant does have a German vibe to the decor. That was done intentionally so that the buildings blended in to the design of Fantasyland way back in the day.
But make no mistake, when you're dining at Pinocchio's you'll be dining on Italian fare. After all the movie is based in Italy!
Before we get to the food though we need to talk about the incredible decor of this quick service spot! Every room is themed after a character from the film: there's a Fiagro room, the Monstro room, and even a Stromboli room (the biggest dining area). You'll want to check out the murals on the walls too. They're stunners.
And don't forget this is the only restaurant in the Magic Kingdom where some diners have a front row view of an attraction. Here you'll want to try and snag a window seat where you can watch the boats launch at it's a small world. Just make sure you wave at the guests below!
Now, let's talk about the food. If you're craving flatbreads or a meatball sub, Pinocchio's Village Haus is where you need to be. A few years ago the menu switched from pizza to flatbread and you can currently choose from pepperoni, Caprese, or a barbecued beef flatbread.
Other menu items include seasonal soups (a must in the "colder" Florida months), a Caesar salad, a meatball sub, and a spicy chicken sandwich.
While the restaurant used to be home to the almost-world-famous Figaro Fries, now you'll find just standard Disney World fries. But we suggest trying the Pesto Knots. They recently replaced the breadstick and they make a great mid-day snack or an appetizer! Pinocchio's has also recently been home to a rotating menu of slushes named after characters from the film including the Blue Fairy and a bright green Jiminy Cricket Slush.
Pinocchio's does have a tendency to get busy at lunch and dinner and seating can be at a premium. On busy days the cast members will block off sections of the restaurant marked as 'reserved' in order to keep people from saving tables. (This same concept is used at Peco's Bills and Cosmic Rays during the busiest times of year).
Your best bet is to just get in line, order your food, and then find a table. Once you have your food the cast members will let you in the 'reserved' areas. And there's also a lot of seating outside so that's always an option too.
From the incredible murals and decor to the view of it's a small world to the variety of items on the menu (meals and snacks!) Pinocchio's Village Haus is definitely a quick service spot that should be in your dining rotation when you're at the Magic Kingdom.

We usually hit up this place at least once for lunch. Joe loves when I manage to snag a table overlooking iasw and spend the entire time waving to the riders!!
They used to have decent chicken nuggets as well, but lately I've been drawn to their flatbreads. Now I want to try those pesto knots!!

The meatball sub is soooooo good. This is my favourite item on MK cs menus. Add some chilli flakes and boom, awesomeness in a bun.
