When most people think of a Walt Disney World vacation, their mind goes straight to the Theme Parks. The truth is though that the Parks are just some a few of the world class options to enjoy during your Disney travels. It's easy to enjoy a full vacation with all the bells and whistles without even stepping foot in a Theme Park. Here are 15 Things To Do At Walt Disney World Without Park Tickets.
15 Things To Do At Walt Disney World Without Park Tickets
- Rent a boat at one of the many resort marinas. Several types of watercraft can be rented, including mini speedboats, and pontoon boats. The marinas are also where you can plan a fishing excursion.
- See a first run movie at the Disney Springs AMC Theater, this comfy location is a great spot to cool off and enjoy a cocktail too.
- Disney Springs is home to a huge selection of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. If you don't live in a major city, be sure to bring some extra spending money so you can go a little crazy.
- Make a pub crawl, I like to hop on the monorail and visit all of the resort bars, but you could stroll the bars of Crescent Lake, and roam Disney Springs until the wee hours.
- Many resorts offer bike rentals, you can find two wheelers for experienced riders, and the iconic surrey bikes to peddle as a family.

- Enjoy a character breakfast at your Walt Disney World Resort, or visit another. While Chef Mickey's is amazing for kids, I tend to prefer the quieter atmosphere of Cape May Cafe.
- Catch some live jazz music from 4pm-10pm in the Lobby of the Grand Floridian, or a fun ragtime show from Ye Haa Bob over at Port Orlean's River Roost Lounge.
- Only have a little time to kill? Ride the monorail from the TTC to Epcot and back for a nice trip.
- Watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Marina or Beach of the Grand Floridian.
- Play golf on one of Disney's championship golf courses, or even take the family and play some mini golf.

- Be pampered at one of the SENSES spas at the Grand Floridian or Saratoga Springs.
- Watch the animals on the savanna at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
- Go horseback riding at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
- Take a tour of one of Disney's beautiful resorts. My favorite is the one at Wilderness Lodge.
- Stick with a classic and take a swim at your resort pool. Disney's pools are top notch and there's no better way to spend a day off than in the water.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of the great activities going on all over the Walt Disney World Resort. While I'm not saying that you should do Walt Disney World without visiting the Theme Parks, you certainly can to it. But Disney fans should be warned that they may feel a magnetic pull to their favorite haunts.

A boat ride from Disney Springs to the French Quarter for Beignets then back to watch entertainment at the Market Place Stage.

Totally what Mike L said! Love that boat ride from POFQ to DS and back.
Resort hoping is high on the list. As is the Boardwalk.
Time to test out all these suggestions now that we are blocked out until August

That's a great one, and even better because the boat ride is free!
