This weekend is the official start of summer and at the Walt Disney World Resort that means it is time to "Awaken Summer." Each of the four theme parks, and one of the water parks, is celebrating summer with new experiences.
Disney's Animal Kingdom is now a nighttime destination for the first time ever. The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic debuts May 28 on Discovery River and the Tree of Life begins its "nighttime awakenings" on May 27. Guests can also experience the park's attractions at night and celebrate at the Harambe Wildlife Parti and Discovery Island Carnavale. FastPass+ is available for The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic.
And don't forget that Tiffins and the Nomad Lounge are also opening this weekend!
Friday, May 27 is the kick-off of the Frozen Games at Disney's Blizzard Beach. All summer long guests can enjoy winter-themed activities including Ski Pole Limbo and a Snowball Toss.
At Disney's Hollywood Studios the third track at Toy Story Midway Mania opens!
June 17 is a big day this summer too. It is the day Soarin' Around the World opens at Epcot, and Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire begins at the Magic Kingdom, and Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular debuts at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
A few days later on June 21 guests can finally experience Frozen Ever After at Epcot's Norway pavilion. FastPass+ is currently available for this attraction.
What are you looking forward to experiencing this summer at Disney World? Let us know in the comments.
