D23, the official Disney fan club, has a nice opportunity for members this summer. On Saturday July 23, they are hosting a special tour for D23 members of Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Archives located in Burbank, California.
The two-and-a-half hour tour will take fans through the old Animation Building that helped bring such classics as "Alice in Wonderland" and "Cinderella" to life. In addition, tour participants will be able to glimpse soundstages utilized in some of Disney's films like "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea." Also on the tour is a stop at Legends Plaza, which highlights some of those who have made great contributions to Disney. Last, tour participants will have the chance to purchase exclusive D23 merchandsie.
As you might imagine, space is limited. D23 will have eight tours available on July 23 starting at 10 a.m., and each tour has a twenty-five person limit.
The cost per ticket is $50. To obtain tickets, one must be a D23 member "in good standing." Tickets are limited to one ticket per member plus one additional ticket for that member's guest. A D23 membership number is required to reserve tickets, and a D23 membership card plus a valid ID form will be required to pick up tickets.
