What Does This Mean For My DVC Reservations?
Disney Vacation Club members have quite a few hoops to jump through when it comes to how they get to use their vacation points. DVC has heard the frustration from members that have had to cancel their current reservations. New limited time policies have been put into place that ease the timing burdens that are usually in place. Check out DVCMember.com or contact Member Services if you need more details on how these changes effect your reservations.
Until the decision is made as to when the resorts will reopen, all reservations scheduled for arrival during the closure time will be automatically cancelled by Disney Vacation Club on a week-by-week basis. Members do not need to cancel the reservation online or contact Member Services. In light of the unusual circumstances and to provide more flexibility, Disney Vacation Club established a temporary cancellation policy to supplement our existing cancellation rules.
Can I still Use My Theme Park Tickets?
Once upon a time Disney Park Tickets never expired, but that isn't the case any more. If you have Disney Parks tickets that are set to expire there are two new systems set in place to help you on your future Disney vacation.
Unexpired multi-day theme park tickets with unused days, or date-specific theme park tickets with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020 through the closure will automatically be extended to use any date through December 15, 2020. If you are unable to visit by December 15, 2020, you may apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date.
