Walt Disney Animation Studios has promoted Andrew Millstein to the position of president, and over at Pixar Animation Studios Jim Morris has been named to the same position for that division.
Millstein was most recently the executive vice president and general manager of Walt Disney Animation Studios, while Morris was the general manager and executive vice president for production at Pixar.
The newly named presidents will oversee business operations and production at the two companies and both will report to Ed Catmull, who is president of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.
In his previous role at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Millstein was part of the creative rebirth of the Studios thanks to hit films including Frozen, Tangled, and the latest hit, Big Hero 6. He joined Disney in 1997.
Morris was responsible for overseeing the production of Pixar features, shorts, DVD content, and theme park activities in addition to development and human resources. Before coming to Pixar he was president of Lucas Digital and managed Skywalker Sound and Industrial Light and Magic.
