Thank God It's Friday! Let's hop right on in to the latest news from the Walt Disney World Resort. After a year of construction work on the edge of Tomorrowland the TRON Coaster has hit a milestone by going vertical. Cast members continued a Disney tradition by signing their names on one of the first steel support columns raised for the new attraction, which is set to open in time for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in 2021.
A highly anticipated new restaurant in the Japan pavilion at Epcot will open this summer! The Signature Dining Experience will be named Takumi-Tei, which means house of the artisan, and is set to be operated by Mitsukoshi USA. Guests who opt for the ultimate experience will be able to indulge in a multi-course tasting menu featuring traditional Japanese tea service.
Tables in Wonderland members will receive a special gift when they attend Woody's Roundup over Independence Day weekend. The country BBQ is your brings together classic American eats with Woody, Jessie, Bullseye, Buzz, and the gang at Disney's Contemporary Resort!
The Play Disney Parks App keeps getting better as they continue to unveil brand New Interactive Experiences. The new additions are themed to Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot's Kidcot Fun Stops. Play Disney Parks keeps guests entertained and interacting with in-queue games, themed achievements, and official Disney Parks playlists through Apple Music.
Finally - Ffashionistas will delight in a new series of ears being released over the next year. The Disney Parks Designer Collection will present a series of limited-release Mickey Mouse ear hats and Minnie Mouse ear headbands designed by notable celebrities, designers, and artists showing off their signature styles. These limited edition ears will be available at Disney Parks as well as online at shopDisney.com.
