Fans that love to book their trips around Disney dining deals should take note that the 2018 Summer Quick Service Meal Offer is booking now! This special package includes each guest of your party to one FREE quick service meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) per day of stay, when booked at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
Due to some refurbishments on Main Street, be aware that the First Aid station has been relocated to Tomorrowland, next to the Space Mountain entrance. Guests who anticipate needing care should take note that this will be the location through February 16, 2018 before returning to its regular location.
Rumor has it that guests staying Disney's Polynesian Village and Grand Floridian Resorts may be included in an upcoming test of a new Bluetooth room entry program that would function through the MyDisneyExperience App on their cell phones. This program that can already be found at hotels outside of the Walt Disney World Resort would be another great addition to the mobile technology forward trend we've seen in recent years.
Several Walt Disney World fan sites reported today that Walt Disney World has announced that it will be closing the Children's Activity Centers located at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts as of July 31st, 2018. It is thought that the closures are due to a lack of interest in the programs, at this time it is unclear if the children's activity center at the Walt Disney World Dolphin will continue to operate.
runDisney added a new event for 2018 - the Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon! Bring the magic of Disney to your run by participating in this race on your home turf. Registration is open for the Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon from now until February 28. Half Marathon must be completed by March 31st.
Speaking of runDisney, this weekend's Walt Disney World Marathon was won by an American, for the first time since 2004. Congratulations to Nick Hilton on his smashing accomplishment!
