If you're making plans to visit the Walt Disney World Resort this spring and you're looking for something to do on a non-park day, we have a few ideas. Spring Training has started at the ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex, plus Disney Springs has some fun alternatives to the theme parks.
The Atlanta Braves returned to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for their 19th consecutive year of Spring Training at Disney World. This spring the Braves are scheduled to play the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, the Philadelphia Phillies, and more. Tickets are on sale now. You can read more about the Braves' Spring Training here.
La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil has added a new act to the show starring Ekaterina and Alexander Abramova. The duo's aerial bamboo act mixes acrobatics and storytelling in a daring performance. You can read more about this new act and see a video of their performance here.
And finally, if you're missing Mulch, Sweat, and Shears at Disney's Hollywood Studios you'll be happy to know that the band has a new name and they're set to play the House of Blues! The new band, American Martian, is playing the House of Blues in Disney Springs on March 28 at 7 p.m. The show is free and open to the public. You can read more about it here.

It seems that some recreational activities I do are only at WDW: bowling (Disney Springs) and canoeing (Fort Wilderness).
