17th anniversary and 40th birthday celebration

We are in serious countdown mode with 8 days until our Disney Trip. Our tentative itinerary looks like this:

Friday 2/22 arrive at Yacht Club around 10 am and take a nice walk over to and through Epcot to grab the monorail to MK where we will stroll around hand in hand, have lunch and do a ride or 2. Then it's off to the Polynesian for a romantic evening in a hammock featuring sushi, fish tacos, dole whips and fireworks.

Saturday 2/23 breakfast at Askerhus before heading over to Hollywood studios, late lunch at Sci Fi diner and wrapping the evening with Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party.

Sunday 2/24 my birthday (40th, wife's is 6 days later) but we are celebrating our 17th anniversary which is also next week. Tshirts are made and we will be drinking around the world. Late lunch at the Biergarten, which I'm waffling on since we ate there the last trip too. If our condition permits we might spend some time late at downtown Disney.

Monday 2/25 some recovery time in the AM and then AK. Heading home late Monday.

This is our version of taking it easy, lol.

candj3296, some good advise, save some time and take a taxi to the Poly from Yacht Club or back from the Poly. It's $15 plus tip and it only takes about 6 minutes compared the hour and 20 minutes it takes to walk and take the monorail. Just did it a few weeks ago, it wasn't fun! Just a tip.

You could also take a bus from Yacht Club to TTC and walk to the Poly.

That sounds like a fun trip candj! Looking forward to your report about those restaurants. And are the fish tacos good?

I am so trying to chill it out on my 2013 trips. I totally commando-styled my 2012 trips, and my goal for 2013 is to try lots of new things (like restuarants) at a much slower pace.

But we will see if I can pull it off. I am such an energizer bunny. mickey

Me hub, thanks for the tip. Disneydoc, we set it up only a month or so ago with the idea of no reservations or plans. We wanted no agenda or pressure to see and do what we've already done...it so hasn't worked. We will see how it goes when we get there.

Kat, there will be plenty of thirty photos once we put them on and start our journey around the world. They are cool though, even if the guys at work did laugh at me.

MK first and second day for short periods. We are really excited to do the dessert party at Tomorrowland terrace. I'm hoping to get some good shots of Wishes from there.
