I am officially doing the double-digit dance today " only 99 days until our trip starts!! Even my hubby seems to have a little bounce in his step today! We will be celebrating our 30th anniversary, and the hubs turning 50. We will officially arrive in Orlando on May 13; however, it will be around 8 p.m. when we land. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside and Yee Haw Bob is playing that night, so that is how we will begin our big celebration!
A Disney trip doesn't feel like Disney to me until I get to see the castle, so on May 14, we will be at MK for rope drop (at least I hope we make it, as I have never been on time for this before)! 5 years ago hubs was in a very bad car accident and was not able to walk. After intense PT he is going to be able to walk down Main Street with me and I couldn't be more excited! Now, the hubs doesn't want me to do too much meal planning because he likes to just go with the flow, so I am hoping for lunch at The Plaza or going over to Wilderness Lodge to eat at Whispering Canyon. Makes me a little nervous not having firm plans! Hoping to score a FP for 7DMT that day. Looking forward to seeing Festival of Fantasy and ending our day with Wishes.
May 15 we will begin our day at Epcot. May take a mid-day break and go check out Beaches & Cream. I did grab an ADR for Via Napoli that night, and we are pretty pumped about it! Love watching Illuminations and sipping on a Grand Marnier orange slush! Evening EMH at Epcot on this night. LOVE the parks after dark! They just take on an even more magical ambiance.
May 16 may just be a sleep-in day, hit up AK or HS or go see what is happening at Downtown Disney. Tonight we have a reservation at Be Our Guest and MK has evening EMH. Totally love MK after dark - The Jungle Cruise and Splash Mountain are so much fun! I am secretly hoping to meet Gaston or at least see him. Yah, he scares me a little. Always have to take a ride on the People Mover. What an awesome view at night! (Yes, I am super excited about this particular day!)
On May 17 we are starting our day at AK. Nothing says "GOOOOD MORNING" like a brisk ride on Expedition Everest! My big goal here is to see Festival of the Lion King. Can you believe it will be a first for us?? I was thinking about heading over to AK Lodge just to check it out too. Hoping to have lunch at Flame Tree, but not sure what their status is right now " thought they were going thru a refurb/expansion. We have just never spent too much time at this park and I don't know why. This day will end at Epcot. The hubs would love to eat at Biergarten this night.
May 18 we will start our day at MK and planning on Cosmic Rays for lunch. I could spend every day at MK and never get bored. We will end our day at Hollywood Studios today. I must have a carrot cake cookie! Have not seen Fantasmic since 2006, so this is on our "to do" list and HS is evening EMH tonight. Toy Story Mania is also on the "to do" list. It will be strange not to see the Sorcerer's Hat. Hoping we run into Mulch, Sweat and Shears!
May 19 and 20 are still up in the air. I do know that we will spend our last night at MK. It is the heart of the magic for us and every trip starts and ends there and I cry every time we get there and every time we leave. I am so thankful for people who "get" what I am saying. I am utterly Disneyfied and it is so much fun to read your reports and see your pictures!
