4th of July Weekend

What did/is everyone do/doing this weekend? I'm just sitting at home. All my online haunts are pretty quiet though, so I know all you guys are up to something. Anyone do anything unusual? How were the fireworks where you live?

We stayed home! We were supposed to go to a cookout with some of friends from college that we haven't seen in awhile but our baby got sick so we stayed home. It was a nice day though..we got some Bojangles and by the time DS went to bed the neighbors were setting off fireworks so we sat in our driveway and could see fireworks from almost every direction. Then we finished The Godfather. Very patriotic.

We had a pretty quiet day, too! Did a little shopping and watched some nearby fireworks. People were setting off fireworks all night, though -- tough to sleep!

Grilled on the deck with family, swam, and watched fireworks from the deck as well. Very relaxing day.

We were homebodies. Didn't really do much at all, but relaxed.

Our fireworks show was painful, literally. It was our towns Independence Day celebration as well as our 250th Anniversary. There was an accident, explosion, and some serious injuries. Looks like everyone is going to make a full recovery, thankfully. We talked about going to a fireworks show, but opted to stay home and relax. Relaxation is at a premium in our household.

Were you close enough to hear the chaos?

Yes, but I had no idea there was a problem until I heard it on national radio the next day.
