Adding Special Events to your Reservation

Before we have gone we have sent a fax to the hotel about a week before we travel, granted ours were for room requests but I had mentioned that it was my mom's birthday celebrations we were there for and we got a call from mickey so I'm imagining that would work, or possibly calling them to add it to the reservation?

We didn't do online check in, but when we checked in at the front desk they asked if we were celebrating anything so we said anniversary. They must have made note because we got a call from Mickey and when we went to the garden grill they knew we were celebrating without us having said anything
