ADR's for Be Our Guest & Crystal Palace

I've wanted to eat at both BOG (dinner) and Crystal Palace (breakfast) and I got ADR's for our upcoming 11 night stay. I actually got 2 dates for each restaurant. My question is "do I really want to eat at these restaurants twice?" I've book too many ADR's and may drop a couple, so maybe I just answered my own question. Puzzled

Our current ADR's:

Ohana
Cape May Cafe
Crystal Palace
Kona Cafe
Biergarten
Sanaa
Cape May again (DH fav)
Crystal Palace
BOG
Mama Melrose & Fantasmic
Flying Fish
Boma
BOG

We did Le Cellier, Cali Grill, Teppan Edo and more on the last visit. We are also going to be in Orlando before and after this stay with annual passes & TiW, probably 5 months total. I'm going to try to get to all Epcot restaurants during that time. Shouldn't be too difficult.

So, should we keep the duplicate dates for BOG and CP? They can be difficult to book, but not impossible. Are they that good?

I can't speak for Crystal Palace, and we've only done Be Our Guest at lunch. But based on that lunch, I wouldn't book two dinner ADRs at BOG in the same trip. The lunch fare was good enough, but not memorable, and I can't imagine dinner is significantly better. (I also wouldn't do both lunch and dinner at BOG during the same trip.)

I would absolutely do two dinners at BOG in one trip, just for the atmosphere and experience alone. When my DH and I ate at BOG in May all 3 rooms were open for us to choose. We chose the Ballroom but I would love to eat in each of the rooms. The Ballroom and the West Wing are drastically different, it would be like eating in two completely different restaurants. The Rose Gallery was a beautiful room also and it was calm and quiet compared to the other two rooms. The WW is quite dark though so that is something to consider before you choose that room. We are going to MK this weekend and we are going to eat lunch at BOG and we're choosing the WW this time biggrin

My DH got the Grilled Strip Steak and I got the House salad and ate DH green beans, because I wanted to save room for the Grey Stuff~And I am so glad I did. It was SO good. DH said his steak was excellent. I enjoyed the salad and the green beans were delicious.

I'm not going to drop the 2nd reservations for BOG or CP yet. There are at least a couple dinner entrees on the BOG menu that we would enjoy and with the different rooms it would be a different experience. And the fact that it is difficult to get a reservation makes me want to keep them.

Thank you both for the replies.

For me personally I wouldn't want to eat at two restaurants twice in one trip. There are so many amazing food options in Disney I have trouble narrowing down which ones to try as is. Now if Yak & Yeti were one of the ones you were considering doubling up on, I might be convinced.... biggrin

I agree with Allie, I've had enough trouble planning in 14 table service choices - so many menus look so tempting!

I would (and have planned to) eat lunch and dinner at BOG only because the rooms and menus are different.

What would you swap them to? If you have no other places you fancy then it may be worth keeping them but if there are other new places to try I would go for that.

Also it looks like you are going back fairly soon so why not do them again that time around if you liked them enough?

Here's my two cents. I would keep both BOG ADRs and drop one of the Crystal Palace ADRs. I love BOG. If you really like BOG you have a second ADR all set. If you don't, then you can cancel it and get and try somewhere else.

I've eaten Crystal Palace. The food was ok. The characters were great.

I will keep the 2 for BOG since they are spread out over the 11 night stay, but if we don't like it on the first visit (can't imagine) then we can drop the second rez set for the end of our stay. I looked at the availability of BOG over the next 180 days and found dates at 180 days, and I know times could open up before that, but I don't want to chance it. The Crystal Palace breakfast will be reduced to one reservation.

I'm having a ton of fun making reservations for mid-November into March, about one a week for now. I wonder if I can get to all the Epcot restaurants? There are a number of resort restaurants to try also.

Allie, we haven't been to Yak & Yeti before so I made sure to get that one. The menu looks very good.
Thanks all!
