Age Restrictions for fine dining..

Hi Folks...Just a quick question here..Last time at Jiko, my DS was almost 13 but we had no problem for him picking the steak from the kids menu..Now this year he will be almost 17 and he was looking at the adult menu and he noticed they do a steak skewer on the kids menu..I think he's worried that the steaks at the YS are huge and he won't be able to finish it..He's not a huge eater as far as portion sizes, tho he does love his steaks..Personally I'am trying to encourage him to go for the adult menu, but just incase, what are the policies at Disney.?..Is it up to the restaurant.?..

I not aware of any "restrictions" for buying off of the children's menu, they are still going to charge two credits at the signature dining restaurants if you are on the dining plan. If your paying OOP, go for it, I can't see there being a problem.

I order off the kids menu almost exclusively for myself. It's never been a problem. But we've never done this at a signature restaurant, it's usually restaurants like Cosmic Rays, Pecos Bills, or other CS restaurants. Just tell your DS to turn up the Scottish charm when he orders and he shouldn't have any problem at all awesome

You can always take the left over back to the resort and put in frig. My DH2 doesn't mind it cold for breakfast, but one morning he flashed famous smile and they pointed him to a microwave and he happily finished off one of our other dinners.

I believe that there is an age limit printed on the menu but it's enforced at the discretion of the management. They do offer a smaller size fillet at YS that is quite tasty.
