Guess I am not smart enough to figure the quote thing out. However, I would love to play. Always looking for another way to enjoy Sundays in the fall

Heya foos! Glad to have you aboard! Interesting aside about fantasy football. I was a Broncos fan growing up and a Oilers fan secondarily because of where I lived. Once the Oilers left and Elway retired I was a football orphan, with no team. I find that fantasy football just reinforces this. I LOVE Sunday now because of Fantasy Football, but I don't care who wins. In fact once the playoffs start and the fantasy season is over, I completely lose interest. It really changes the way you watch fantasy football.

I find it just helps me enjoy football season that much more. I'm a casual football fan (though the sport is a shadow of what it once was), usually only watching my team(Drunk and the playoffs. With FF, I'm checking my players every few minutes on Sunday.

ESPN standard leagues have a ten team maximum. Custom leagues (still free) can have up to 20. If we set up a custom league, we'll need to mull over some of the options (like keepers).

One other thing; one of the most fun parts of FF is the draft. Be advised there will be (I'm assuming) a LIVE draft. We can set the time so most of us won't have a problem participating, and anyone will have the option of setting up their draft (like a proxy) ahead of time if they can't take part.

I'll be glad to take part if you need more people. If you've already got your ten, I'm content to just "watch!"

We've already got more than ten, so you are welcome aboard. Long as we have an even number, below 20, we're good to go.

20 will be the max then and we can make decisions about the special rules. We ought to decide on the draft date too.

I'm open for the live draft too.

Why don't we close the team signups on August 15th so that we'll have plenty of time for a draft?

Whats a good draft time? Weekdays are pretty much out, but we could do an evening or just about any time on the weekend.

Sounds good to me. My schedule is M-F as well, so evenings or weekends for me. We'll just need a consensus from the participants.

So far we have 2/2 for an evening or weekend draft.

I haven't used ESPN before. Do they allow for a live, online draft?

Yes they do, and it's very well done. One of my favorite parts of the whole season.

I tend to get impatient during live drafts, so I usually fill out my draft order before hand. I'll try to show up for the draft, but don't plan the date/time around me.

Draft time suggestion -
If we plan on a weekend, things tend to pop up that could pull people away.

I would suggest a weeknight (Mon-Thurs).

Do we have anyone on Pacific time who is playing? We could work the time at their earliest convenience.

I can do a draft at any time. Time change is going to be an issue so please not too late at night. If it is after Aug 16th I will be in the US so that would be a lot better. I vote that we have a Live draft, in WDW. I think the Atlantic Ballroom would suffice.

Rico, what a fantastic suggestion! Let us know when you've bought all our tickets and rented out the Ballroom! laugh That actually would be kind of cool if we could do it, though.

After August 16th shouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think.

One suggestion on the draft. We may want to wait as close as possible to the actual season starting to allow for pre-season injuries and their effect on the league.
