Aug 18 - Aug 26 Trip Report from "The only person who wears a cardigan in August at WDW"

Saved some pictures so after the weekend I'll get into the gear of things! I promise more to come!

Part 2:

Aug 20
We went to Holywood Studios or MGM as I still call it. Alex and Glendon rode Tower of Terror. I stayed with Eric because I don't ever ride it since a Cast member scared me as a child. I don't even enjoy walking through the line (which happened later). Eric waited for the rest of us to ride Rock n' Roller coaster but later in the trip we tricked him into going. We had dinner at 50s Prime Time Cafe where our cousin got mad at me for not finishing my chicken because I didn't like it. Best part of my day was the free Mickey Bar that I got for my "birthday" (I even explained that I was just celebrating a bit late and they chose to then sing as well)

Aug 21
Epcot Day!
So today was Minnie Mouse day! I quite liked this day. We got trapped in the rain at England but we just ran through it and had fun. I bought a cute pokemon in Japan that I still don't know the name of because it is new (or at least not from my childhood). I also had very yummy Miso Soup. The boys had Turkey Legs from the USA and that was fun. We were supposed to have dinner in France but Glendon and Alex missed our reservation so we just ate wherever. We also started our Arcade adventure.

Chip and Dale were complete goofs! They kept flirting with me and teasing Eric when it was our turn. They got in trouble from their handler for wasting time before break. They also really liked when I took Eric's Camera and was taking pictures of them. They ignored Alex for a bit while posing for me. The only good photo I had to get them to give me a thumbs up when ready and then we had a dance party to a song on my phone. They really enjoyed it, so much that the handler made them march to break because they kept stopping to get me to take a picture of them.

Part 3

Aug 22
Animal Kingdom Morning - We didn't sleep in this day (surprise) and we got there for EMH. We rode Everest at least 3 times if not more. We somehow managed to get Eric to ride it more than once. Now Eric hates roller coasters, going backwards (even in haunted mansion) and when he is scared, he usually giggles like a school girl. We also had Lunch at Tusker which was yummy. I left early because I didn't feel good after lunch and we met up at the hotel. We were supposed to go for dinner at Via Napoli, but we skipped it. We went to Disney downtown for dinner at Earl of Sandwich and Meatballs at the bar in Portobello's. There I had a bit too much to drink - the bartender (Jason I believe) made me drinks of whatever colour I wanted. It was fun. We danced to the band that plays by the Balloon (which was still closed), shopped a bit and at pretzels for dessert.

We really didn't take many photos this day other than Safari pictures. I am just posting the 2 I took of Giraffes (I am quite proud of them)

Aug 23
Alex and Glendon went to Universal this day and Eric and I went for lunch at Rainforest Cafe. My mom says they have the best mojitos at the one in Vegas but Eric was extremely happy with his. We shopped a bit more and found out they do not have the "I'll be your Minnie" tshirt in my size anywhere. I actually almost cried. (If anyone finds one in a Womens Small and wants to mail it to me, I'll a. pay you back but also b. love you forever). We had dinner at Boma which has terrible desserts in my opinion but that might just be the fact I didn't think it matched the theme well. Eric and I were supposed to go for our cruise but the girl who was planning it bailed so I was quite sad. Instead we played in the Arcade a bit, went for a late night swim and ordered room service while playing cards.

So Eric stopped taking pictures and I don't have his brother's camera to steal from.

They were hilarious. They were probably happy to have some people they could tease instead of crying kids at that point because every kid ahead of us cried.

Aug 24
Today was Epcot day for us. We had a lot of fun but then the rain came. They boys had left early because it was hot and they were up early so I stayed until dinner. When I was in Mexico, I ran into Sombrero Donald and he pulled me into the little bit of light and gave my phone to the handler and made her take a picture of me. It was really cute. Dinner was at Kona which was probably my favourite because of the potstickers. I met the boys there and we had a Lapu Lapu! Those a delicious. After, we went to MK for EMH. We made Eric ride all the roller coasters. He was a bit scared but he survived and even went again!

Aug 25
We went to Hollwood Studios to ride Toy Story Mania - they pulled us to go on the disability side so we skipped about 20 minutes of lineup. We also dragged Eric on Rock n' roller coaster. He actually screamed. He was not a fan but he did survive. I enjoyed the fact I finally got a different story line on Star Tours. After finally not getting podracers and the guy who threw a bomb at us, I refused to ride again because I was so tired of those 2 options. We had dinner at 'Ohana. I got sick so I left early but the boys loved it. I did get to finish my Key Lime martini at least which was delicious! I enjoy dessert in a glass apparently. The boys met me at the hotel after and we went back to the Arcade. We won a lot there. We have 2 DS (one 3D one), Monopoly (The nightmare Before Christmas version) and a bunch of cute erasers and pencils for my class.

Star Tours

Aug 26
We woke up, I had the baggage people pick up our groceries to be delivered to a family I met on disboards who were arriving on monday at POP. They quite liked it. We got on ME and went home. Our ME driver was terrible but Airport security was pretty nice. The flight was good and when I got to Edmonton, the Pilots let me sit in the cockpit and they even took a picture for me. It was pretty exciting - almost as exciting as riding Space Mountain twice in a row.
