Avoiding Crowds At Disney World

Here's some great tips for crowd avoidance from ZapperZ in the Negatives thread:

Quote:
There's one thing that one can do that I think may correlate between
one of these things being packed, and when it isn't. See if that
night's event is one that has the passholder discount.

From my anecdotal experience, when it is one of the passholder
discount nights, it will be jam-packed. When it isn't, it won't be.

As for Extra Magic Hours, here's a tip. If a park has an evening extra magic hours, go to that park the next morning. Chances are, it will not be busy at all, even by Noon time.

Zz.

Let's keep collecting them here.

Well, an overall tip is to go during low seasons--as Imagineer says, "go when the kids are in school."

Another tip is to hit the less popular attractions in the morning (as everyone is at the e-ticket stuff then) and the more popular attractions during the parades/fireworks (as everyone's distracted and watching the show!).

Thanks, Bali! I'd forgotten to look at the blog every now and again. Too bad you have to pay for several months out...

I also think it's interesting that they think a good touring plan is more important than crowd levels...I find that claim suspicious!
