A Basic Itinerary

Okay - now that I have gotten all that dining plan hubbub out of my head - here's a basic plan - help me tweak it mickey

Driving down from Pa to Fl will take 2 days, it will be me, CJ, 3 kids and grandma eek

Arrive Friday, 4/30 and stop at grocery store first - then check in at BLT yay
* check in, stand in room mesmerized for like hours, snap out of it (sort of) laugh put groceries away and unpack.

* dinner at 1900 Park Fare around 6ish?

* Watch Wishes from room clapping

Saturday, 5/1

* breakfast in room

* check out pool

* enjoy resort/relax

* head to Epcot around 4ish

* dinner at Biergarten around 6ish?

* Enjoy Epcot at a slow pace, stay for IllumiNations

Sunday, 5/2

* breakfast in room

* Magic Kingdom day

* Lunch at Ray's Starlight Cafe

* Return to BLT around 2-3 pm/rest

* head to BC (by our own vehicle) and go to Cape May Cafe for dinner at about 5:30 - this is just for grandma as she REALLY wants to check out the clam bake mickey

Not sure what to do after dinner? Maybe Beaches N Cream? I think it will be an early night since grandma goes home the next day.

Monday, 5/3

* take grandma to the airport (hopefully we get her a fairly early flight)

This day my MIL Fawn and my best friend Cherie will be arriving this day. I am guessing this day is good to use as a down day. One thing we really want to do is visit other resorts and even though we're going to Cape May Cafe at BC for grandma, CJ and I really want to try out Captain's Grille so I think this may be a good day to head back to BC for that meal. I thought then maybe we could head over to Boardwalk and check it out.

Are there lots of things to do at Boardwalk? Like, is it similar to an actual boardwalk, with games and shops, etc? if so, I think we'd all love to check it out.

Tuesday, 5/4

* Up early - quick breakfast in room

* Head to Animal Kingdom

* Take snacks along - no meals/snacks there

* Back to BLT around 3ish

* Relax, check out pool or nap laugh

* Dinner at Ohana's around 6 (you know I LOVE the Poly so we HAVE to go there at least once!)

* Watch Wishes from the Lounge at BLT muchlove

Wednesday, 5/5

* breakfast in the room

* Magic Kingdom

* back to the room for relaxing and something to eat

* Epcot for the evening. This way we are not at MK ALL day or Epcot ALL day. Which restaurant should we try at Epcot? (been to Coral Reef, Biergarten, Le Cellier)

* Stay for IlumiNations

Thursday, 5/6

* breakfast in the room

* DHS for the day (maybe arrive around 10 or 11)

* where to eat? I hear the QS kinda sucks?

* would love to see Fantasmic - if it's showing this day

* If no Fantasmic, either early night back to BLT or ???? (what else could we do?)

Friday, 5/7

Last full day - free day. Would like to have a TS for dinner - not sure where. Suggestions?

As you can see, we will most likely being eating at least 1 TS a day but I am keeping breakfast and most lunches at the room, should be a $ saver.

Sounds great!! Looks really good. To answer your question, Boardwalk has a couple of games and some shops -- I'd give yourself about an hour to explore.

For dining at DHS, consider Hollywood and Vine. It's a buffet, and also has disney channel characters your kiddos might like.

I am guessing I'd need ADRs for H&V?

I'd recommend ADRs for Hollywood and Vine. I think you can also do it as part of the Fantasmic Dinner Package, if you're interested.

Ahh, okay. I will have to think on that - we may got that route only because we need a place to eat anyway

I think you've got a good pace for the days Grandma is there. It's always easy to throw in some activities if you plan too little (which is rarely a problem), but it can mess everything up if you try to do too much.

Good point - we could always add stuff if we want.
