Best Coffee in Disney World

We're not HUGE coffee drinkers, but everyone complains so much about Disney coffee that I'm wondering if there's any "good stuff" to be found. Certainly they have some decent coffee at some of the restaurants?

If you really like coffee Kona Cafe is the place to go. They serve the real Kona coffee there. We were pleasantly surprised that several of the nicer restaurants are now serving coffee of THEIR choice and not Disneys. A lot of the little carts have good coffee too. There is one where you come out of TOT and another one in EPCOT near the Land that both have pretty good coffee. We really are big coffee drinkers and have on more than one occasion brought our own coffee maker and coffee to Disney with us.

I've heard wonderful things about the Kona coffee. Do they really serve it in a press at your table?

Yes, they serve it in a press brought to your table. We love that coffee so much we bought a bag to bring home with us on our last trip. We do not have a press though. We use a Keurig here at home and so far have not tried the real Kona in it. Waiting for a relaxing weekend where we can sit and really enjoy the coffee.

Do you buy it at the Cafe?

Sounds great. You just let me know when to show up for that relaxed weekend -- that would be NICE!

I've given up on Disney's versions of coffee.

They just can't get coffee and pizza right. waiting

Good thing they give you a coffee maker in the room.

I pack my own Seattles best coffee and now it's a non-issue. biggrin

Pizza has been a serious disappointment there. I'm not picky about coffee, but there's nothing like good pizza...and at Disney World, there's nothing like good pizza. Do you have any hope for the new Pizzeria in Italy? It's got a location in DL and NYC and they're supposed to be decent.

When we eat at the food courts we mix half coffee and half hot chocolate . It is, to us, great. We also like to sit on the Boardwalk to 'people watch'. We have a cup of coffee and Ãclair at the Boardwalk Bakery. It is also great. Never been disappointed with the pizza at the Boardwalk Pizza Window.

Joe, love the half coffee half hot chocolate idea; we'll have to try that!

Have you tried the pizza at the boardwalk window since the restaurant changed to Kouzzina? Still good?

Does anyplace else have distinctive coffee besides Kona Cafe? I can't really think of any other coffees in WDW with a "claim to fame" like they do.
