Best Fireworks Experience?

There are so many great fireworks experiences at Disney World?

What's your favorite? Do you have a time that sticks out in your mind?

Oh that's such a hard question!!!

I think that my favorite fireworks viewing spot is the Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower. We saw HalloWishes there in October and it was so awesome.

I have always wanted to see the 4th of July Fireworks though. My birthday is July 3rd and it would be such a huge treat for me to watch this show from the beach at the Polynesian or on the Grand One. That's my Disney Fireworks dream muchlove

I really love to watch Illuminations from along the fence at the front of the Japanese pavillion in Epcot. They even have those small stone benches if you get there early enough.

I'd say when we were on the ferry leaving Magic Kingdom and the fireworks started going off, the castle changed colors, then the Electric Water Pageant came along right next to us. The pageant was very unexpected...never heard of it!

Great view and just very, very nice.

The fireworks that I will remember the most I think was on our first Illumination Cruise with some really good friends! But I love the fireworks in so many different places for so many different reasons. I love being right there in front of the the Castle, feeling the shock wave of the fireworks report, and then also from the balcony of our room at the Poly. That always reminds me of watching the "Wonderful World of Disney" every Sunday night when I was young at my Grandparents house . Then there is the awe and power of Illuminations watching from near the Japanese pavilion in Epcot like Vettelover said. The power of the globe floating out on the lake and the flames erupting from the barges and feeling the heat wave hit you. Yes there are so many places, I can't just pick one!

Hmmm . . Illuminations, back in Italy near the bridge. You can feel the pressure from the shells as they explode above you and it is a rush. Oh- and it is best when you share chocolates. Used to be able to get a parfait cup of incredible chocolates at the Italy kiosk. Lean on the bridge or sit in a bench, eat chocolates and enjoy the show!

The Best.

I have to say Fantasmic is my favorite! I was a 90s kid obsessed with Pocahontas so that scene is always my absolute favorite! I know every word to Fantasmic because I've seen it so many times. (:

One night, me and 2 of my roommates caught all 3 fireworks shows. I'm not entirely sure how we managed it, but it was the coolest thing ever. I think we saw Illuminations at 9, ran to Hollywood Studios, saw Fantasmic at 10 or 10:30, then rode a bus to MK to catch the midnight Wishes. best night ever.

A couple of days after Christmas in 2006, my daughter-in-law and I booked a boat for the MK fireworks for my son's 27th birthday. The show was great with the audio in the boat sync'd to the show, but the temps were around 50 degrees. They provided blankets, a cake, sodas, and snacks.

The boat driver gave us a great tour of Bay Lake and the 7 Seas Lagoon. He also gave us some behind-the-scenes info about the Tinkerbells that slide from the castle. He also showed us a tree near the old River Country that is unique to WDW.

Here's a picture of the one-of-a-kind Shoe Tree.

Whenever a member of the WDW "navy" retired or quit, someone would liberate a pair of the member's shoes from their locker and use them to decorate the tree.

Since this picture was taken, management has stopped this little bit of unscripted fun.

When I got engaged during the finale of Illuminations! Sorry that trumps all other firework shows I've seen for sure!

Anyway, my favorite spot to watch is while eating dinner at Rose and Crown. So waiting, no standing & no crowds! We never miss it.

We celebrated our engagement at the Wishes Dessert Party @ MK and somehow got the very first table! It was so nice not to have to push through crowds and sit and just enjoy!

Last May we were watching the Magic, Memories, and You show and then the fireworks at MK. Our son 5 at the time said, during one of the wishing upon a star part, "I wish I was the most awesomest boy ever." Of course as a mom I started to tear up and said "You already are the most awesome boy in the world to me." These moments are what Disney are all about. I can't even watch the new commercial they have for Disney parks without wanting to cry. Can't wait to go back in May and make some more wonderful memories.
