ANYONE WANT TO JOIN US????????

We just made reservations for "Dine with an Animal Specialist" at Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge/Kidani for Wednesday, October 26th at NOON. The cost is $49 per person which includes tax & gratuity. There is only a total of 12 people (now 10 people such I booked Amy and I). To make reservations call the regular line: (407) 939-3463. You must pay when you make the reservation. If you are going to cancel, it must be 3 days before the date. When I called the lady who answered was not familiar with the program and was unsure how to book it. I directed her to the Disney dining website to show her where it was and then she was able to book it.

It sounds like they only offer these twice a week and they fill up fast such it is such a limited amount of people.

If you are interested in joining us, we'd love to have you with us!

Dine with Animal Specialists
Join an Animal Specialist for a deliciously insightful, 4-course lunch at Sanaa.

Wildly Delightful
Learn about the animals roaming just outside the windows of Sanaa, as you savor a 4-course feast.

Over 200 birds and hoofed animals"including zebras, giraffes, gazelles, crowned cranes and more"roam the 4 savannas of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas. At a private table facing the Sunset Savanna, discover fun facts about their care, current field research and Disney's role in conservation when you dine with an Animal Specialist!

The Feast
Enjoy Indian-style bread service, refreshing salads, slow-cooked meats and decadent desserts. Options abound for meat lovers, vegans and vegetarians alike, while little ones can choose from child-size portions of the adult fare or familiar favorites on the kids menu.

All the while, you'll delight in fascinating conversation with the Animal Specialist! For a personal and intimate experience, this "untamed" lunch is limited to 12 Guests.

The Finale
After your meal, venture into the secured area for an up-close encounter with the radiated tortoises"one of the most endangered animals cared for at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Important Details
The price of this dining experience includes a $5.00 contribution to the Disney Conservation Fund.

Is anyone thinking of MNSSHP during the meet-up?

Hell yeah!

Most definitely!

We're thinking of going to MNSSHP on Sunday Oct 23. It's really the only date that will work for us.

Hi all,

Just a quick note to confirm that we are canceling the cruise portion of our trip. I got a new "job" which really means that I'm starting a new business. I can't leave for that long so early in the process. We will still be staying on land from Friday 10/21-Tuesday 10/25 at Poly, but we did have to drop the cruise portion. We're very disappointed not to be able to join our friends and certainly we're disappointed to miss out on cruising with Disney because we love it!!, but we're relieved to have a little bit more capital to work with in keeping things financially afloat here at home while we work through this transition and we're happy to still be able to join everyone for at least part of the meet-up. Oh and I'm psyched out of my mind that my dream of having a little shop that's all my own is finally coming to fruition!

Good luck with the shop. What kind of business? I'm glad you don't have to cancel the whole trip. I'm thinking of canceling part of my trip also...the part where I go home.

Haha good one, Colonel!

I was appointed to fill the vacant Tax Collector's position in our town. I have to run for re-election in the spring, which is why it's critical that I not take more than a few days off during what I estimate will be a fairly busy time. I'm also working on taking the travel agency out of my home office and into it's own little space. I almost put a contract on on a building yesterday that I thought could house both operations, but with having to learn the new job and get established as tax collector, I've decided to hold off for a few months and just lease the current space until I have a better handle on what I'm doing. Also I still need to finish up assignments from the other jobs that I've been working. I can't just abandon the kids that I coach, so I'll be phasing out slowly and I have some real estate clients whose transactions I need to see through to completion.

Congratulations from G & I re the new job. Tax collector? Is that for the IRS? My first job was working as a tax collector in London, I spent all day walking the streets, knocking on people's doors asking them for tax they hadn't paid! I really enjoyed it, even the bit where I served court papers!!! Interested you were appointed, did you have to apply? We must try and meet up this time. I am trying to meet up with my friend from AL (Roll Tide) who I haven't seen in over 7 years once I know what we are doing hope we can fit something in x

Thanks, Sally-Ann! It's not quite as exciting as all that here in Pennsylvania! I'll have an office where I mail the tax bills from and people either stop by to pay them or mail the payments back in to me and the nice agencies for whom I send the bills out pay me a little something for taking each bill. I can't say it's my dream job, but I can make a better living off of this one job than I've been making off of my other four jobs put together, so I'll take it. I only collect real state and per capita taxes assessed by our county, municipality, and school district. So any income and business taxes are handled by different people or agencies.

We will definitely have to meet up!! I will certainly look forward to seeing both of you again!
