Biggest Pin Shopping Venue...

Hi Folks..Now that my DS is getting in the Disney mood, he was checking out his pin collection which are hanging up on lanyards on our wall ( Disney room ) Our last three trips we have stayed at PORS so it was easy to get downtown via boat and hit that circular shop that sells hundreds of pins, but to be honest, I don't think we will be visiting downtown too often this year..Due to the fact that we are staying at WL..I was trying to think what places near us would have the biggest variety..At MK I remember Trading Post at Frontierland had a large selection..So to all you pin fans out there..Where do you get your pin fix from.?

EPCOT had a pretty large pin station right behind Spaceship Earth and Hollywood Studios has one under the "hat". I prefer the one at DTD to the ones in the parks, but aside from the pin store and Earl of Sandwich, I wouldn't go to DTD either. I do have a groupon for Characters in Flight, but especially while the Disney Springs renovations are going on...ugh.

I'm sure Disney Springs will be great when it's done, but the lack of parking seems to be taxing the transportation system leaving no good way except the resort boats to travel to and from. I can't wait for that project to be finished!!

I think our DS's are about the same age, and mine is very serious about his pin collection. He doesn't like to trade too much, because he is always looking for keepers. He and his sister spent a fair amount of time at the Trading post. I was shopped out, and it was late in the evening, so I sat in one of the rockers on the porch, there.

The other place that got hit a few times was the pin station behind SSE. That one usually has "professional" traders set up, and their collections are pretty impressive.

The third one is under the hat at DHS.

Now, I just asked him and he said something interesting. All of these places have pretty much the same pins with the exception of the Spectromagic limited editions they both got (they were only at the pin stop behind SSE). He also said, if you want a pin from a specific park, it is best to look for it there. For instance, if he wants a Food and wine pin from your trip, best place would be EPCOT. A pin for MNSSHP, best place would be in MK.
