Can I add a day to a park pass?

I bought a 5-day park hopper for our October trip - planning 5 days in major parks and one day at a water park, Downtown Disney, and DisneyQuest.

Hubby just called and said he might have to leave WDW two days early to testify in court against someone who was embezzling from the company he works for. mad

I told him to tell them in no uncertain terms that WE HAVE OUT-OF-TOWN PLANS THAT WEEK and to reschedule the court date. (The court date has already been rescheduled at the defense's request; seems only fair that it should be rescheduled so it doesn't conflict with our vacation, which has been reserved, paid for, etc.)

But on the odd chance he can't get them to reschedule and doesn't want to be in contempt of court, I want to get a sixth major park day on my ticket instead of doing the water park/DTD thing all by my lonesome.

Do any of you know if this is possible? And if so, will they charge me the $10 I would've paid if I'd just purchased a 6-day park hopper to begin with? Or the triple-digit fee that a single park day costs?

Yes you should be able to just add a day. We did for our friends when we stayed an extra day due to ice storms and it was only a couple of bucks a piece. Just call and ask a cast member and they can tell you what to do. I did it right over the phone at the resort.

My experience is Disney is always willing to give you more, especially if means more money for them. If you booked the package with them it is not a problem. I have done that a couple of times. They just add it to your package. If it is within your 45 days you will have to pay for it when you are talking to them and arranging it.

Thanks, mrhub and angels. I hope he doesn't have to leave early, but getting an extra day at the Magic Kingdom (because that's what it would be) will be some compensation.

I too have added park days to a ticket without a problem, and have only paid the extra $10 for the day.

If you all won't be in town for the trial I'm sure the prosecutor can excuse your husband. I've had subpoenas when I was out of town. It's not a huge deal let your hubby advise the prosecutor. It's not like you'll be around the corner.
There's no amount of OT I'd take to leave WDW early eek

Update: the investigating officer is going to request a postponement. I can't imagine it won't be granted, since they've already postponed at the defense's request. So looks like we won't have to change our plans at all.
