Castaway Cay & Nassau

Has anyone done any of the Port Adventures at either of these places? If so, which was your favorite?

Here's from my Jet Ski Adventure

This one is about Stingrays

A little bit about Serenity Bay

I took the City & Adrestra Gardens Tour in Nassau and decided that I don't need to leave the ship there ever again unless I was going to Atlantis.

I'm hoping to do the jet skis in January , during the membership cruise. Now if I can talk my wife into it.

Thanks for mentioning the garden tour Kristen! I had been flip-flopping between whether or not to book an excursion and this was one of the top ones on my list. I think I'll skip it now, I have some amazing zoos and gardens in my hometown anyways.

JP - The zoo is, umm.... more like someone's back yard. The animals are in tiny tornado fence cages, it was really sad to me. Here are a couple of my pictures.

Jaguar Untitled IMG_0385 Monkey

We had gone because I wanted to see the "famous" marching flamingos. It was more like more like flamingos being herded for 5 min. The flamingos are a little cheeky too. The close up picture of the flamingo below, did not use a zoom, he was right there in my face.

Here they come! No zoom needed, friendly Flamingo!

Wow Kristen, the zoo cages are a lot smaller than what I'm used to seeing! I think I'll stick to Animal Kingdom to see animals. The flamingos are so close! But I'm glad you gave me the disclaimer about the "marching" being more like herding. It still looks like fun, but not worth the extra money for me.

I still think the Atlantis tours sound great!

We didn't do any shore excursions, but I did do the Castaway Cay 5K on my recent cruise, and that was really fun. Nothing like making yourself feel like you really do deserve all those extra desserts, and it's a fun way to see parts of the island that you might not see regularly. mickey
