Celebrating Thanksgiving Disney Style..

Here I go again...Talking food...Here in Scotland we don't celebrate Thanksgiving.( we know that, get on with it Mittens ) Ok..But if I was at Disney I would love to try dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern..Now here's the thing...Although it's only two weeks away, We will be having our Xmas traditional turkey in six weeks time, so what would you suggest for a different thanksgiving, disney style..I was thinking something like a Ham Joint, or a Pork Loin Joint..I loved the PORS carving station, where you got lovely slices of beef or ham, Hmmmm..Now I'am getting hungry...So for all you folk ( like myself ) who won't be celebrating Thanksgiving at Disney..What alternative meal would you suggest.?.. awesome

My roommates' family is Italian, so they always have a big spread of Italian food to go along with their typical Thanksgiving fare. If you wanted to do that "Disney Style" you could use recipes from Mama Melrose or Tony's.

We're going to be in Disney World on Thanksgiving Day this year. We are in the total minority here, because we don't really care about the restaraunts or the food at Disney eek We would rather grab "to go" meals or snacks that we can carry around with us all day rather than do a sit down meal, so that we can keep moving in the parks. There are a few restaurants we want to try though. Be our Guest was our first choice for Thanksgiving, but it was booked, of course.

Thanksgiving Day we are going to eat at the Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot. We are very excited and we hope to be able to get there early and ask for a table by the aquarium. It is our first ever ADR, and we have been Annual Pass holders for years! My husband will probably get the New York Strip Steak and I will get chicken(neither of us will eat any seafood~so the restaurant is an ironic choice wink )

I am also from a large Italian family and if I can't eat my mom's homemade pasta, lasagna and meatballs for Thanksgiving, I don't really care what I eat. So our Thanksgiving choice was more about atmosphere than food.

We have done Coral Reef for Thanksgiving and it was delicious. I got the traditional Thanksgiving dinner that they were offering and my boyfriend went with the steak I believe. Liberty Tree Tavern has a family style dinner. It's where they bring dishes for the whole table to share just like 'Ohana.
