You know..that big wall in Epcot where you can get a picture of yourself etched onto a big rock and it will stay there for all eternity. I am sure it has a better name than that but I cannot think of it right now.

Anyway..how much does that cost? Anyone done it?

Bella those are called "Leave A Legacy" and I am afraid it will NOT stay there for all eternity as there is some talk and rumors that they will be moved to an undeveloped section of Epcot. They are no longer sold and are not promoted by Disney. Wife and I have one that was a freebie when we booked a trip in our "pre DVC days" we have a map on how to find it and we usually visit it once per trip just to see if it is still there. I have pictures somewhere of the wife pointing to it.

I guess that's not very much of a legacy then is it?
Well crap. Thanks for reminding me though!

OH, I remember when they were giving them away as freebies with the packages! I think we had one, too, but never got around to doing it!

I wonder if anyone at Disney ever thought those things were a great idea.

When they were promoting them did they give any timeframe of how long they thought they'd be there?

While they may not always be "there", I would bet they will always be somewhere. Every time I walk by, I wish we had one. Not cheap as I recall (besides the 'free' ones:) ), but very neat IMO.

We always meant to do one but never did. We were thinking now that Holden is here we should definitely do one..oh well..I missed my chance. Whenever they start selling bricks again maybe we'll buy him one of those.

I think the bricks are VERY cool. I hope they decide to add to that pathway.

DH and I each have one...do you think we can find our map to locate our plaques...Noooooooo....I know we could go and get a new map, but we're always so eager to get in the park we don't want to spend the time and on the way out we're dog-tired!! Guess we'd better make the effort on this next trip and get a photo!

rolling This is too funny.

I think it's even more fun if you have to go find them and can't remember where they are. It's like a challenge!

Good point...we'd spend 8 million dollars on it and then we'd never see it again. Although this is sort of the same thing that happens to me when I shop at Target. I spend tons of money and I come home and ten minutes later I say, "what did I buy?"
Anyway.

Good morning!

I apologize for the long absence. I did the Leave a Legacy on my first trip in October, 2000 and may have looked for it again in 2003. It cost $35.00 and seemed like a good idea at the time. It's the kind of thing you do only once.
