Details about the New Test Track

I have to say I'm not as excited about it now as I was before since I read that the track didn't change at all....while I liked the old test track it's always fun to get something new....to me it sounds like it's just going to take longer to get on the ride with everyone making their own car...i can see how some people could take forever doing this

Well... none of this is a true surprise... its just officially being said by the big wigs. Thats all.

As for keeping the track. Im curious on how this is going to be a different experience each time with the track the same. I figured that was going to be the one huge change instead of the ride que.

I dont know. I always figured the track would stay the same. But I like the redesign to make it more Future World-ish

I'm a little iffy on this. I don't really like the changes that they made to Space Mountain with the games. It just feels like it takes longer. I will give it one shot, but I'm just not feeling it right now.

But, as I have heard a lot from one particular podcaster, it's not often that Disney disappoints, so I will hold judgement until I try it. mickey

Wondering how this tron-ish look will be for those of us who get motion sick? I could ride it just fine before..... as stated: I hate change! waiting

OOOooo interesting. One of my problems with test track is that you could so clearly tell that you were inside a building and could see the track and where you were headed next. I really hated that. I wonder if this is going to be darker then. That could make it more fun.

I also have problems with motion sickness, but I don't think the redesigned Test Track will bother me. From the look of those renderings, it will still be light enough for me to see what's ahead, and as long as I can see where I'm going I know I can handle the existing track.

And I like the look of the redesign. Hope it will be open when we get there next month.

I have to admit it I never really liked Tron. I don't know if I'll ride it - it will be a wait and see. My friend and I -to a certain extent-will get motion sickness. Like I said - wait and see.

Just to remind everyone. The track remains the same. That hasn't changed. It's just everything else is changing. Changing the look. I'm with you Kristin. I didn't like that you could see the other cars. You old see what was coming up. So I'm hoping with this redesign the eliminate that.

But again... If you rode it before... Nothing is changing. Just the look of it. Track is the same.

Okay Mase that sounds good. I do like the ride and would hate to see it change too much!

This looks cool. In ways it looks like the Space Mountain theme..anyone else agree with that?

I think the Tron look is fine. I'm with the other who said they didn't care for the behind the magic views. It just seemed like a giant warehouse. I mean it is but it could be so much better like space mountain. I'm looking forward to the changes.

So, if I'm designing a car in line, how does that translate into what I'm actually riding in when I get to the car to go around the track? How are they magically going to turn the car I "designed" into the real car I'm going to be riding in? And how are all nine people going to agree on the design of the one car we're collectively riding in? Am I just stomping the magic right out of this thing, and I just need to trust Disney and the process?? Smile

If its anything like the innoventions ride we were in a room with a group we all voted on aspects of the ride and then rode it.

Oh, okay, so it's a Test Track Democracy. That could work!

How is it that we're so in love with Disney and so unwilling to suspend our disbelief on certain things, Kristen?? Smile
