I was sent an offer for free dining plan the week we are going. Do you know if you can still use if you book the plan if you book resort thru someone other then disney? My thinking is no.

What do you mean by someone else? Like using a travel agent like AAA? You can get the dining plan if that's the case. If you are renting dvc points, I don't think you can get the dining plan.

IsabelSnow if you booked your trip through a travel agent all you have to do is give your pin number to the agent and they will make all the arrangements for you. That is what I did last year when I was offered the free dining plan.

As long as you are staying at a Disney resort then the answer is yes. Just give your agent a call and they will be able to tell you if your room qualifies, what your get, and help you apply it to your room.

Thanks everyone. I was looking at booking sites and the prices are just a little less then going thru disney and booking myself.

We use AAA and they have been able to add the free meal plan the last two years even after we had paid the trips off. They haven't been great at helping with dining or other special events but they got the ball rolling. If you've not booked small world offered amazing service start to finish.

Thank you Magicdays. I normally use AAA but this is the first time have not been able to "Layaway"(lets what I call it) Our trip we just said when we get our tax return we are going.
