Is The Yachtsmen The Ultimate Steak House in WDW..

Hi Folks....Now I've had some mouthwatering steaks whilst in Disney, and only one disappointing one..( Le Cellier ) My Favourite steak was at Jiko..The signature fillet with Mac & cheese was outstanding...In second place, just behind Jiko was Cali Grill...But for this year I'am leaning towards Yachtsmen..Where have you had the steak of steaks at Disney.?.

My husband and I ate at Yachtsmen for our 10th anniversary dinner and it was absolutely fabulous. If I specifically wanted steak, I would go back in a heartbeat. However - I've hear that Shula's over at the Dolphin is pretty amazing and they have an "Best of Excellence" award winning wine list.

Shula's is my favorite as well, we make it a point to dine there on EVERY trip.

I love Yachtsman Steakhouse. I've been there twice. Had excellent service and food there both times.

A couple years ago we had steak at Yachtsman for the second time, and the following night tried the steak at Flying Fish. Flying Fish was way better, IMHO. Never been to Shula's, but the majority of posts I have read on this subject, would suggest that it is better than Yachtsman.

My husband has ordered steaks from a lot and I mean a lot of places at Disney and hands down he loves Yachtsman the best. Being a vegetarian I am no help with this question but I will say that I like Yachtsman because of the relaxed atmosphere and amazing service (try to get Ricardo as your server).

Yachtsman for me. Check out the meat room where they age the steaks. That's a real steakhouse, not some Mickey Mouse joint.

OT but one of my favorite places to eat is the Yachtsman Bar.

We ate at Shula's in Oct 2013. We were very disappointed in the steak, but everything else was marvelous but the place didn't wow me. We have eaten at The Yachtsman Steakhouse many times and have always been happy with the meals there. They are advertised as a steak house. Scrappy and I argue over The Yachtsman all the time. I agree with Skunk, there are better steaks at times at other places. My thought of the best steak I ever had in Disney (other than V & A) would be The Turf Club. Their New York Strip you can cut with a spoon. Also the Bison Filet at The California Grill. And yes, the Flying Fish is "not" just fish. They have a wonderful variety of foods on their menu.

I had a very good steak at R&C last trip. I was pleasantly surprised. They are not known for their steak. And I once had an awful steak at Le Cel.

All of these restaurants serve so many meals, and they rotate chefs. The odds are that there are going to be some bad meals. I've eaten in Le Cel four times. Three times were wonderful.

After our meal tonight at the Yachtsman, I would say yes, it is the ultimate steak house!! We have had steak at Cali Grill, Le Cellier, and the Flying Fish, and the Yachtsman was by far the best we have had. biggrin

We ate at the Yachtsman in 2010. My husband had steak and I had fish. The food was really, really salty and over seasoned. Probably wouldn't go back here again.

Yachtsman was pretty good. But the best steak I've had actually came from Big River Grille. RocketRed was such a great beer and paired so well with the steak that it instantly became my favorite.
