Dinner for Two Suggestions

Hey everyone! I'm making one table service plan for the last night of our trip. Choices are a little limited because we don't have the dining plan. We're spending our last park day going wherever, but for dinner we'd want to be somewhere near MK or Epcot because we'll most likely be taking in one of the fireworks shows for the last time.

I was looking at both Ohana and Whispering Canyon, especially since Jeff loves beef and pork and I don't cook them often. I want him to be able to have some good meat choices while I can stick with seafood or chicken, and both those places seem to have good all you can eat options so we can try a bunch of things. Do you guys have opinions about these places, particularly when dining with just two people? Any other similarly priced suggestions would also be very appreciated!

You could do Kona. We have been to Ohanas and I do enjoy that meal. I do like it better when we are with more people though. We have never tried Whispering Canyon. That one seems to me like it would be more fun with a group also.

How about the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club? Close to Epcot and dinner menu has meat, chicken and fish.

I love the Kona Cafe. Its not family style, but the food is awesome and the menu options are great for both meat eaters and those who prefer their food to swim. wink

Thanks for the suggestions, I didn't realize Kona and Captains Grille both had a 3 course prix fixe option! I'll let him decide after looking at both menus.

Out of Ohana or Whispering Canyon, I would go with Ohana as a dinner for two. They have several two top tables at Ohana, I can't recall if I saw any at Whispering Canyon. There's also just something wonderful about the whole atmosphere at the Poly that I find romantic.

I can't wait to see it, didn't make it to Poly on the last trip. But we're doing Wishes on the beach with lapu lapu and maybe sushi the night we get in so we'll definitely be there! muchlove

Do you? I didn't have very good luck last time I was there. I thought my husband and I could escape the heat and crowds at F&W Festival for a romantic dinner at the San Angel Inn, but what we got was a meal with unfortunate service, average food, and even more bodies shoved into the space than I think were on the promenade. I had hoped for romance, but just got disappointment. Sad
