Dinning Plan Help

Wife and I planning for June 2013, already paid for room. Will be doing a dining plan but not sure which one. We love to eat and will have no kids with us -- though they do not know that yet! Mean I know.

Anyway, we want the food to be a BIG part of our trip. We have great staying power and will spend every waking park our somewhere. This will only be our 2nd WDW trip and want it to be special.

We will spend 7 nights at the world, staying at POP. At this point I am planning to the Delux Dinning Plan, but 3 credit a day sound like so much, and not planning on signatured every day. Do not get me wrong, we do want at least one nice meal a day, but it does not have to be signature.

I wish they had a DDP that had 2 Table Service and 1 QS per day.

The DDP would be fine some days. We could do table service brunch and signature dinning dinner to = 3 TSC. But on days not doing signature, not sure we could handle 3 sit down meals.

If we go with teh Basic DP, then we would not be able to do any signature, or at least not more than one, because we would end up paying for meals out of pocket.

Help please from others in our same predicimate. Do you think a couple wanting a good "foody" trip could do that withou the DDP?

I always do the deluxe dining plan especially when it's just two of us traveling. We are big foodies Is is a lot of food, yes, but no one said that you have to eat every bite of every dish put in front of you.

With the deluxe plan, credits are credits, you can use them at either a table service or a counter service it's not that they're table service only. If you want to do two table service and one counter, you have the freedom to do that.

Many people get caught up on the monetary value of the dining plan. My advice is to not worry about the monetary value and look at it as having the freedom to eat the way you want to, when you want to, and not have to mess with figuring out the bill.

The only time that I felt the Deluxe Dining Plan sort of got in our way was when we had it during Food & Wine Festival. That just ended up being way too much food and we had some left over credits dining when we went home. I wouldn't do deluxe again in that situation. However any other time of year it's just gets figured into my budget.

No, it's not mean, it's reality! awesome

We always do the Deluxe Dining Plan for the two of us also, but we usually stay in a Deluxe Resort and get room service once or twice to use up the credits and still always have some left. We also do a lot of signature dining.

My wife and I are heading down in Oct. and we are doing the Deluxe plan as well. We to wish they had a DDP that had 2 Table Service and 1 QS per day. We did the regular plan on our last trip and felt it was just not enough it. I'm afraid the Deluxe will be a bit much but we want lots of character pics so we are doing a lot of character dinning.
