Disnedoc's rambling, wordy 1st Ever DVC/Deluxe Resort Spring Break Trip Report!

Hey Guys,

I know I am a bit overdue for this trip report, but I hit the ground running when I got home from Disney. This was such a special trip (but they all seem to be so) because there were lots of biggie firsts for me - first DVC villa, first deluxe resort stay, first ADRs at table service restaurants other than Teppan Edo, first trip with no evening fireworks. I am not very consistent with making pics " I tend to live in the moment these days " so I don't have any this time. But I do have a few reflections on this trip to share. You guys may not know it, but all of you sorta came along with me while I locomoted through the World.

My trip report/reflections are attached. Sorry, no pics....but lots of very descriptive words. Maybe they will make pictures in your minds of our favorite places.

DisneyDoc I loved reading your TR even if there were no pictures. Festival of the Lion King is my favorite show in AK and I am glad I am not the only who cries when hearing "Circle of Love". Actually I start when I see and hear Rafiki at the beginning. Thanks again.

Great TR DisneyDoc! It was great to meet you and we can't wait to see you again this summer! I am so glad you are so genuinely happy with your DVC. It's so cool how much you appreciate it, you should, you worked hard! I love that everyone here appreciates Disney like we do, I feel like we're family.
Would love to have met Mase and Jess and kiddos this week, but it's FCAT (Florida standardized testing) and the world stops, or at least slows down and turns upside down! Worst 2 weeks of the school year.

Loved it! I would LOVE to do a solo trip...even if just for a day. You know how to have fun!

What a great report, I haven't tried the grapefruit cake either, the slices are just too big and DH doesnt do desserts so won't help me eat it! So glad you had a fantastic trip and enjoyed Jambo and your room. Giraffes rock!

Hey Julie,

We are testing in Georgia too, the week after break and this week. Yep, rough weeks for all. We are all beat and very squirrelly.

Let.s get together in June for the concerts at Epcot!

I absolutely loved your trip report--it sounded like you had a wonderful time, and makes a solo trip sound really appealing (although my fiance would be too bummed if I left him at home for me to try it, ha!). All those salads you tried sound delicious, too--especially the one in the Coral Reef. Yum!

We are always up for a meet up, and a teacher meet-up sounds awesome! Count us in and we will plan our schedules ahead enough to make it work! November is great weather and lower crowds in the beginning of the month. Let us know dates, weekends work best for us but we can be flexible.

Good luck to all that are testing...ridiculous stress!

Great report disneydoc!...I love how you have fallen in love with your DVC villa...can't wait for our first stay at DVC property in August (date to be finalized)...and as Kat mentioned above, I completely forgot about the Target RedCard and the 5% discount on Disney gift cards...definitely doing that for next trip

Yes, mr. Hub, it is a totally different experience with dvc! Actually looking to add on.....

I wish I lived a little closer....I can see myself doing some shorter trips in different resorts.

Have a great time! The F&G topiaries are awesome. I wish I had tried the food at the kiosks...next year. It was cool to have Dole Whip at Epcot.

And next time I go down there we will have Starbucks!!! Woohoo. Real coffee. That alone will incent me to get up earlier for EMH.
