Another birthday cake. This time, it was at Citricos.

And yes, it WAS a chocolate cake. Do you even had to ask?

Must stop looking at this thread when I'm starving!!

@Disneylove: Monte Christo looks amazing, and the pirate creme brulee is so cute!

@Zapperz: That's beautiful! How far in advance did you order?

We ordered the cake a week before. Typically, it is like ordering any custom cakes. If you give them a few days notice, they can whip out almost anything you want.

So do you have a camera setting for "Chocolate?" Optimized settings for taking good pictures of it? silly

I think the admin was doing an article on "Eating Healthy At WDW" at one point. Maybe she gave up? biggrin

This was the birthday cake (to feed 15 people) that we had at Hoop Dee Doo in May of last year.

I took lots of food pictures--at almost every meal, in fact. Once I've had time to sort through them, I'll post some.

For photos of 2 dishes at Bluezoo, check out the Disappointed in Cali Grill thread. Since I promised to bring back some pictures of healthy food, here are some photos:

Here's the chopped cobb salad at the Brown Derby. It doesn't look as good as it tastes. It was delicious. It has chopped egg, bacon, turkey, avocado, tomato and crumbled blue cheese on top of chopped lettuce that has been tossed in what tasted like an Italian dressing. They will toss the salad together for you tableside, but I preferred to eat it this way:

This is the goat cheese salad at Chefs de France. At first, I was
disappointed that there was only one piece of goat cheese in it. But
then when I realized that the goat cheese sticks to the roof of your
mouth like peanut butter, I was glad there was only one piece. It was
a good salad, not great. The rest of the meal was better:

Here is the Kona Salad from Kona Cafe. It was okay, but I've had better:

This is the Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbour House. It was delicious, but really sloppy to eat. It's made with a broccoli slaw, hummus and tomato on whole grain bread:

This is the vegetable platter at Tangierine Cafe at Epcot. It doesn't look all that appetizing, but it tasted plenty good. Basically, it's bread and a combo of all the side dishes: olives, a lentil salad, hummus, couscous salad, and tabouleh.

I'm sorry to monopolize the thread, but I figure since I'm doing this, I might as well do all of them. Here are some more food photos from my trip:

Tandoori Chicken at Sanaa. To. Die. For. Best Tandoori Chicken I've ever had! The menu says it's supposed to be wrapped in naan bread, but it's just sitting on it. Those green leafy things are mint leaves.

My waitress at Yak & Yeti suggested the Maple Tamarind Chicken. It was very good with an interesting flavor, but a little dry for my tastes. The first photo shows the meat, the second the vegetables underneath the meat:

The Butternut Squash Ravioli at Spoodles was amazing. RIP, Spoodles:

The Calamari at Spoodles was also among the best calamari I've had anywhere. Believe it or not, it's easy to screw up calamari. Theirs was great. It came with a tasty relish.

I highly recommend the Blackened Shrimp with mustard dipping sauce at Planet Hollywood. I could have eaten 2 of them:

I don't know why the Coral Reef gets so much grief online. I loved it. The Catfish with Pepperjack Cheese Grits was fabulous (best grits I've ever had--and I was in New Orleans, land of grits, at Christmastime):

The escargot at Chefs de France. Mmmm. I love escargot. I try not to think about what it is that I'm eating, though. LOL.

Edited to Add: Thank God for the edit button.

And finally, because I KNOW you all are most interested in this.....The Desserts!

The trio of sorbet (raspberry, lemon and mango) from Yak & Yeti. I hoped it would cool me down before I went back outside. Boy, did it ever. My teeth were chattering and I was shivering. I couldn't wait to go back outside! They were okay, but I probably wouldn't order again.

The apple crepe with ice cream in a caramel sauce at Chefs de France was yummy.

I also really enjoyed the Berry Cobbler with Cinnamon Ice Cream at Wolfgang Puck's:

Which reminds me, I forgot to post a picture of what I ate at Pucks--the beef satay appetizer was my dinner. Not bad, but not fabulous, and not filling enough, which is why I ordered dessert:

There. Now I'm done.

Here is a spread from the Castaway Club get together. Castaway Club is what they call anyone on board who has sailed with Disney before.

Those are pretty pictures, Mousetraveler. What is that yellow stuff with the red smear in it on the artist's palette dessert?
