On Bloomberg today I read that "Unions representing workers at the Disneyland Paris complex, operated by Euro Disney SCA (EDL), have called for a 48-hour strike, starting today, in a dispute over salaries and benefits, French newspaper Les Echos said, citing union representatives." All I could think was AGAIN?
It seems to me that there always seems to be trouble brewing with the employees over there. Is this due to French Labor Law and Disney's values not really meshing well? Is it truly that miserable a place to work? I understand there's a 3% gap in the raise the employees want and what Disney is offering, but couldn't they simply split the difference and meet in the middle?
I seem to have a growing intolerance for unions. My sons teachers just went back to work after strike today. In the tough economic times that people are facing all over the world I just feel people are lucky to have job with a paycheck at all. Everyone has to do their part for the greater good, both Disney and the Union need to get with the greater good. Our Vacations
