Last Call for Snow White's Scary Adventure!

Snow White's Scary Adventures to close May 31

Snow White's Scary Adventures will close forever at Magic Kingdom on May 31, Walt Disney World revealed Thursday.

As previously announced, the Fantasyland attraction, an opening-day feature of the theme park in 1971, will be replaced by Princess Fairytale Hall, a meet-and-greet area for Disney Princesses and guests.

The closing of Snow White's Scary Adventure is a side effect of the park's expansion of Fantasyland. That construction took over Mickey's Toontown Fair area last year and uprooted the princesses (and some fairies) from their home there.

Disney also announced that the first segment of the Fantasyland expansion " a portion of Storybook Circus " will open to guests in late March. This phase will include one of the two carousels that will make up the enhanced Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride, the rethemed Barnstormer roller coaster (to be called the Great Goofini) and a new Fantasyland Station of the Walt Disney World Railroad, which circles the theme park.

I've never actually rode it! ...my first time to WDW was when I started working there! shameful, I know...

but we'll be riding it when we go in 18 days!

I took my last ride this past October. So sad to see the originals go, but I'm excited to see what's new!

Never was a fan of it. That witch at the end always freaked me out. Haunted Mansion NEVER scared me but she did....LOL!

Since Snow White is my fav, I am bummed about it...I wish I'd ridden it in October:(

It will still be at Disneyland. I think it's stupid to get rid of it.

I made sure our family rode it last November because I knew it was ending this year. I never cared for it.... but thought we should ride it so the kids could have at least say they have rode it.

I already told my family we have to ride in one last time when we are there in May. We are super excited to see all the new fantasyland attractions.

I don't know why but I am kind of excited that I will get to ride it again! We leave June 1st so maybe we will try to go the last day. I've never exactly been a huge fan of the ride or anything but it would be neat to be a part of history.

I rode it twice in November. My friends had never ridden it before. I told them they had to ride it once before it was taken down.

will definately ride it for the first AND last time when we go in.... whats that???? 6 DAYS!!! hahaha! I figure I could rub it in a little! hehe...

it is sad though.... they should keep those classic rides around...

Bummed to see it go but super excited about the new Mine Train ride! I can't wait to see the innovation and tradition they marry with that one! We'll definitely get another ride or two in before it's gone forever.

Are there other rides or attractions that y'all wish they'd take out instead of this one?

Really wish I got one last ride! Oh well Sad It was never one of our must do rides, it's probably been years actually since we bothered with it but knowing it's going to be gone does make me sad as it's been there for so so long! Thats progress though!

Stitch? That is about it. I love all the rides & wish they would just build more instead of taking things away......but I guess there is not exactly room for all that.

I second that. Stitch is probably the only ride i don't care for at all. I've ridden it only one time years ago. I could smell that nasty chili dog smell the rest of the day. haha

I will miss the Snow White ride. I love it! I rode it as much as i could during our trip in December knowing it would be the last. Sad
